Cabin Policies
Cabins
Cabins are clean, rustic, constructed of logs with wood floors, with wood stoves, no plumbing. Each has an outhouse and toilet paper, but it is always a good idea to bring additional toilet paper for your days out adventuring. Some rechargeable, ambient lighting is installed inside your cabin, but please bring your own lamps as well to safely move about the property (to the pool, your outhouse, etc). We ask furnished items not be taken out of the cabins.Care For Your Cabin
Please care for your cabin & leave as you find it: Do not mark, carve or write on your cabin. Charges may be incurred for damaged or missing items.- No smoking inside the cabin.
- Outside music can be disruptive to others, so, please, keep your music devices inside and at respectable volume.
Stove & Fire Use
Firewood gathering and burning represents a big carbon footprint and expense, and wood stoves can be dangerous. Please help us do our part to conserve firewood & be fire safe at all times. Please, no fires outside of the cabins as this is an extreme fire danger for us. Use stove air vents & dampers to control proper functioning of your wood stove. Keep stove door closed at all times and do not overload with wood. Do not put any flammable objects on top of or near your stove or stovepipe. Please be careful when around a wood stove, touching only the door handle, damper or air vents with careful consideration of heat produced and possibility of skin burns. If you need further assistance or have not used a wood stove in the past, it would be our pleasure to help you! Please ask personnel at store for assistance. Please do not attempt to burn trash, including plastic, aluminum or cans in your wood stove. If needed, we have garbage bags available in the store to pack these items out with you.Cabin Capacities
We are strictly adhering to our published capacity limits for all cabins in order to maintain a peaceful ambiance for all guests. Please do not invite guests outside of your reservation to your cabin or the pools.
Motorized Use
We are trying to limit onsite use of vehicles to reduce dust, noise, and pollution. Snowmobilers and motorcyclists, please be conscientious of noise around the resort and keeping dust to a minimum, riding only on the established trails. Please try to limit the number of vehicle trips to and from your cabin, for instance, walk to and from the pool unless physically unable to do so. When dusty, try to use the parking lot after unloading. Help preserve the quiet for other guests by avoiding traffic after the 10 pm Quiet Time. Please do not ride in the large wildlife meadow to the west, which is entirely on Burgdorf property and is protected by a conservation easement to shelter our precious wildlife and fisheries.Leave No Trace
Please pack out all trash. We do not have trash collection facilities in our rural location and have to transport all garbage and recycling to outside collection facilities. Please help us protect the natural beauty of the Payette National Forest by taking all your trash with you. There will be an incidental charge added for extensive cleaning or garbage disposal.
Please visit https://lnt.org/ for more information on what it means to leave no trace. Thank you.
