COVID PolicyPlease review our updated COVID policy statement.
Identification and management of Covid risk factors are evolving, and we feel the best approach for now, in order to provide the greatest possible safety to guests and staff, even with vaccination, is to continue with those practices which have been scientifically proven to reduce risk worldwide. We are opening to guests who embrace all possible Covid precautions, including vaccination, masking, hand washing and distancing and have not been ill or exposed in the prior two week. We ask everyone, including folks who are vaccinated, to wear masks anytime while outside their cabins when an outside distance of 6 feet cannot be maintained, and when inside the store and other common buildings. For now, we are limiting group bookings to no more than 15 persons, and we ask for avoidance of groups of more than 15 persons.
CabinsCabins are clean, rustic, constructed of logs with wood floors, with wood stoves, no plumbing. Each has an outhouse and toilet paper, but always a good idea to bring additional toilet paper for your days out adventuring. Some rechargeable battery lighting will be fitted and to remain inside your cabin, but please bring your own lamps as well to safely move about the property (to the pool, your outhouse, etc). We ask furnished items not be taken out of the cabins.
Care For Your CabinPlease care for your cabin & leave as you find it: Do not mark, carve or write on your cabin. No smoking inside the cabin. Outside music can be disruptive to others, so, please, keep your music devices inside and at respectable volume.
Stove & Fire UseFirewood gathering and burning represents a big carbon footprint and expense, and wood stoves can be dangerous. Please help us do our part to conserve firewood & be fire safe at all times. Please, no fires outside of the cabins as this is an extreme fire danger for us. Use stove air vents & dampers to control proper functioning of your wood stove. Keep stove door closed at all times and do not overload with wood. Do not put any flammable objects on top of or near your stove or stovepipe. Please be careful when around a wood stove, touching only the door handle, damper or air vents with careful consideration of heat produced and possibility of skin burns. If you need further assistance or have not used a wood stove in the past, it would be our pleasure to help you! Please ask personnel at store for assistance. Please do not attempt to burn trash, including plastic, aluminum or cans in your wood stove. If needed, we have garbage bags available in the store to pack these items out with you.
Follow All Pool RulesNo alcohol, glass, food, music devices, or soap in the pool area. Please be respectful of all patrons and remain 6ft away in the pool, or if outside of pool please wear a mask and try to maintain a minimum of 6ft social distance, if possible, although greater distance is prudent, given outdoor respiratory droplet spread even in light wind, of up to 18 feet. Cabin guests will have 24 hour access during their stay, however, we ask all guests to try to limit the number of guests in the pools to no more than 15 persons at a time. During busier days, at maximum allowable booking of resort, we may use a reservation system for pool times to add protection and provide a more private, peaceful experience for cabin guests. If this is necessary, reservations can be made at time of arrival and we are happy to assist you with booking time slots that work best for you during your stay.
Cabin CapacitiesDue to risk of Covid19 spread, we are accepting reservations for our larger cabins at no more than 6 persons for the Castle and Hornet’s Nest, however we may be able to make an exception for an additional person, especially single household families or close social groups who have been practicing covid-safe "bubble" practices for these cabins. All other small social groups (no more than 15 persons) will be required to reserve separate cabins per household, please.
Motorized UseWe are trying to limit onsite use of vehicles to reduce dust, noise, and pollution. Snowmobilers and motorcyclists, please be conscientious of noise around the resort and keeping dust to a minimum, riding only on the established trails. Please try to limit the number of vehicle trips to and from your cabin, for instance, walk to and from the pool unless physically unable to do so. When dusty, try to use the parking lot after unloading. Help preserve the quiet for other guests by avoiding traffic after the 10 pm Quiet Time. Please do not ride in the large wildlife meadow to the west, which is entirely on Burgdorf property and is protected by a conservation easement to shelter our precious wildlife and fisheries.
Leave No TracePlease pack out all trash. There will be an incidental charge added for extensive cleaning or garbage disposal. Please visit https://lnt.org/ for more information on what it means to leave no trace. Thank you.
Cabin ItemsPlease do not rearrange lighting or remove from your cabin. You will be charged for missing or damaged items or cabins, including furnishings. Please help us preserve the historic ambiance.
