COVID19 Policy Statement

New Policy Statement 9/6/2021:

The surging Delta virus threatens us all.  We closed Burgdorf for 10 months out of safety concerns for both guests and staff.  After learning more about the nature and trajectory of the virus, we cautiously reopened at reduced capacity in January, but only to cabin guests and at half capacity with safety measures including masking and distancing guidelines.  We have been committed to following evolving proven science, sound medical advice and current CDC guidelines.

We thank our wonderful guests who have respected and supported our efforts to remain open and safe.

We understand that tensions are high for all.  Recent onsite pushback has put us all at risk and compelled us to reconsider our policies, especially with the new surge.  The only way we feel we can continue to remain open is to embrace the current best practices.

After careful, deliberate consideration and now with full FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine for ages 16 and older with more to follow, we have updated our booking policies to reflect our commitment.  In order for guests to stay at Burgdorf and before final booking is completed, we are requiring proof of vaccination, signing of our Waiver, which includes assertion of willingness to comply with safety measures listed there.

We hope you understand our motivation and respect our right to implement policies for our private business.  If this doesn’t work for you, we hope you will come stay with us after this pandemic resolves and we are able to relax restrictions, including possibly opening further to the public.  For now, these are our requirements, and are subject to change as more understanding evolves.

We ask for your patience.  It will take working together as a society to get through this as safely as possible.  We hope you will find Burgdorf a place of peace and serenity, gathering, laughter and healing springs, a place to find respite, a place to ignore the outside stressors, a place to unwind, unplug, and just safely be.  This is our goal.
